After pfaffing around on the beach with some foils and avoiding getting in the water as it felt cold and the wind was gusty, Shem and I eventually got ourselves in gear and got kitted up. I was a little wary as some of the gusts coming through were pretty big. Shem was going out with his 8m Caution kite and I rigged up my Wipika (which is about a 15m in modern measurements). If Shem looked OK on the 8m, then I was going to have a go with that and leave mine on the ground.

However, once it was set up and I was in my wetsuit, the wind dropped completely for a couple of minutes and Shem was struggling to keep it up (oo eer missus). The wind then filled back in again and I just decied to give it a go with my Wipika and got straight out there. Luckily the wind was more constant now and I had a really good session. the wind picked up throughout the session, but I was gaining confidecne once again so that was OK. Craig was on the beach taking photos, so hopefully there will be some good shots to add to the site soon.

I was making some nice jumps, although the landings weren't exactly smooth. They were in control though.

Shem spent most of the time underpowered but was still going OK.
